The New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) recently completed the procurement process to secure an e-Invoicing open syndicated agreement with a panel of access point providers for all of Government to use. Celtrino has further enhanced its international reputation by being accepted onto this panel.

New Zealand Government agencies that can avail of Celtrino’s e-Invoicing services include public service departments, non-public service departments, Crown Entities, State-owned enterprises and local authorities. This selection by MBIE further demonstrates the Celtrino offering as a highly trusted and secure solution.

As New Zealand’s Peppol Authority, MBIE’s responsibilities include developing regional arrangements and requirements, overseeing the local implementation of the Peppol framework and on-boarding and accrediting Peppol access point providers (including due diligence and security checks).

Instead of using a complete tender process, NZ public sector agencies can now easily and quickly select Celtrino. The open syndicated agreement ensures a significantly shorter and smoother process for an agency. The contract is available on request by emailing internalprocurement@mbie.govt.nz.

Speaking about the announcement, Celtrino MD Ken Halpin said, “Being selected by the New Zealand Peppol Authority is an honour for Celtrino. Government agencies are key actors and enablers in the digital transformation of the New Zealand economy through strategic initiatives such as e-invoicing.  We are delighted that our proven knowledge, domain expertise and experience spanning 32 years delivering business automation services is now available to support Government agencies and their supply partners on this journey.”

A key priority for increasing numbers of governments today is in digitising their economies, with a move to e-invoicing leading to significant productivity and cost‑efficiency benefits which include faster payments, fewer data errors, and more accurate financial management. Organisations can use Celtrino’s Access Point (AP) solutions to provide the essential Peppol connection with their trading partners. As an organisation that helped define the Peppol standard, Celtrino understand exactly what is required to implement e-Invoicing successfully for both government agencies and their private sector suppliers.
