On April 4th, Celtrino sponsored, presented and exhibited at Procurex Ireland 2019
About 1,000 visitors descended on the RDS for an action-packed day of networking, learning and training. Attendees had the opportunity to meet leading procurement professionals across Ireland, and to attend numerous speaker sessions from industry experts in 5 different zones across the venue.
Procurex provided Celtrino with a first-hand opportunity to showcase our electronic invoicing solutions directly to Public Sector buyers and suppliers, and to join the conversation on procurement best-practice in Ireland.
Our CEO, Ken Halpin had the honour of opening proceedings in the “Best Practice in Procurement” zone, and he presented to a large crowd on “E-invoicing compliance as an essential stepping stone to European public procurement best practice”.
As well as outlining Celtrino’s 30 year experience in electronic invoicing solutions and detailing our product suite, Ken’s presentation had a specific focus on the EU Directive 2014/55/EU, the new European norm for electronic invoicing. The Directive mandates central government agencies to be compliant to receive electronic invoices by 18 April 2019, and Celtrino have been selected as the single supplier for electronic invoicing solutions to these agencies. Other public sector buyers must be compliant by April 2020, and Celtrino are also the preferred supplier for Lot 3 agencies. There followed an interesting Q&A session where insights were shared with a good cross-pollination of ideas.
Celtrino also recently received EU funding to support the adoption of Directive 2014/55/EU.
